Brook Sims has spent her career leading DEI, Talent acquisition, HR, Sales, and Training in a variety of industries. Her experience has focused on delivering stellar people leadership, creating equitable workplaces, business growth, and outstanding client service.
She currently serves on the leadership team at MAC Diversity Recruiters as the COO. In her role, she will be responsible for supporting the CEO’s vision and initiatives, providing strategic growth, financial performance, and operational efficiency in helping MAC reach continued success as a leader and strategic partner to drive diversity.
Prior to joining MAC Diversity Recruiters, Brook most recently served as a Leader of Inclusion and Diversity and Commercial Banking leader for First United Bank. Brook believes in leading with love and helping people achieve their highest potential.
Her expertise in finance and DEI has allowed the opportunity to speak on panels discussing Racial Equity, Business and Personal Finance, and Women’s Leadership.
Brook is an active alumna of Paul Quinn College, a Dallas based HBCU, with a degree in Biology and Psychology. She works with PQC students for college and career prep and has helped establish internship opportunities for PQC students at several large corporations.
She loves the opportunity to give back and volunteer. She serves as the Board VP for Midwest Food Bank,volunteers with Rainbow Days,and The Village Giving Circle which is a black female founded and lead philanthropic organization.
Brook looks forward to continued growth and leadership. She enjoys reading, traveling, fitness, roller-skating, and playing soccer. She is married to Troy Sims. They live in Dallas and have two daughters, Indigo and Kendy and a dog named Deuce.
